Sustainability policies
At Mondi, sustainability means constantly considering and acting on the environmental, safety, economic and social implications of every decision we make.
We have management processes at Mondi to ensure that we continuously improve both our management of sustainability issues and our sustainability performance. During 2007, we approved a new over-arching sustainable development (SD) policy, which outlines our overall strategy and key areas of focus.
Guided by our overall SD policy, we have seven sector policies that ensure we implement best practice in the following areas:
These policies apply across all the operations we own and manage, and are supported by all the training, education, consultation, auditing and other resources needed to ensure we abide by them.
