Sustainability governance

Our governance structure is designed to maintain strong corporate governance principles, policies and practices in line with our objective to be leaders in our industry. The Group’s overall approach to sustainability therefore continues to form an integral part of our strategic and operational management.

We have management processes at Mondi to ensure that we continuously improve both our management of sustainability issues and our sustainability performance.

During 2007, we approved a new sustainable development (SD) policy and completed the development of our sustainable development management system (SDMS), an SD management framework that provides the sector policies, governance structures, commitments and reporting systems we need to meet our SD commitments.
