When I joined Mondi some 5 years ago I was looking for a fast moving, high performing and rewarding company. Having a background of several years of Consulting and Telecommunications experience I had pretty high expectations in this regard.

What I found within Mondi was and still is what I sought and what I like: a team of dedicated people who support each other, demand high performance and give you the same in return. This spirit is simply rooted in the culture of the company.

My career within Mondi was not linear: I held my first position as a Divisional Information Technology Director for three years. During these years I was busy with several SAP roll-outs, an extensive SAP-BW project and business re-engineering projects. I have gained insight knowledge in all plants of the division and was involved in many other not IT related projects. Simply put: I was not bored a single day, not even an hour.

But - as time and life changes - I got the opportunity to live in Paris with my family. Having handed over my ongoing projects to other colleagues I went on a half year sabbatical, stayed in touch with colleagues via e-mail and phone and started my MBA during this time. Mondi has not only allowed me to take up the sabbatical but even more provided a partial funding for the tuition fee. Now I am supporting our division in integrating five newly acquired plants into the division. I see new challenges every day and am convinced that my choice for Mondi is right.
