Mondi is included in the FTSE4Good Indices

Mondi today announced that it has been included in the FTSE4GOOD UK Index, the FTSE4GOOD Europe Index and the FTSE4GOOD Global Index. Mondi is one of 41 new entrants to the index series after the March review and 15 companies were deleted as they no longer met the criteria.
The FTSE4Good Index Series was initially designed to provide investors with a tool for evaluating and investing in companies with good track records of corporate social responsibility and responsible investment. However, the increasing acceptance of the FTSE4Good Index has seen an evolution in terms of the range of stakeholders that use the index.
In order to be included in these indices, Mondi’s performance in the following areas was evaluated and deemed to meet the necessary requirements for being a responsible business:
- Working towards environmental sustainability
- Developing positive relationships with stakeholders
- Upholding and supporting universal human rights
- Ensuring good supply chain labour standards
- Countering bribery
According to FTSE about 40% of all eligible companies worldwide meet the FTSE4Good criteria.
