Mondi acquires business units from Loparex

Mondi has today announced an agreement with Loparex to acquire two of its manufacturing operations (Lohja, Finland and Glossop, UK), two converting terminals (Poland and Thailand) and its European sales network.

The acquired operations employ around 500 staff and will be a good strategic fit for both the Kraft Paper as well as the Release Liner business units of Mondi. The closing of the agreement is still subject to approval from the relevant competition regulators.

Loparex is a global Release Liner manufacturer with assets in North America, Europe and Asia.
