Welcome to Mondi Świecie S.A.

Mondi Świecie S.A. was established at the beginning of the sixties. In January 1991, a state-run company - Zakłady Celulozy i Papieru w Świeciu - was transformed into a joint-stock company wholly owned by the State Treasury. In April 1997, 15% of the Company’s shares were floated on the Warsaw stock exchange. In August 1997 a majority parcel of shares was sold to a strategic investor, Framondi NV, located in the Netherlands and the company was renamed Frantschach Świecie S.A. The Frantschach Group was wholly owned by Mondi - one of the leading paper and packaging companies. In 2007 the Company celebrated its 40th anniversary.

We are pleased to announce that Mondi Świecie S.A. has been awarded a Premium Brand Award by the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Organised by Forbes and judged by a panel of institutional investors, the award recognises the company that has best met the judging criteria in its industry sector. Mondi Świecie S.A. was ranked best company within the Industry category. The following criteria were used to determine this ranking: business focus (versus political orientation); board reputation; company image and reliability and business transparency.
