Response to Davies Report
Since becoming an independent listed organisation, the Mondi DLC Board has had a 22% female representation, which is broadly in line with the recommendations of the UK Lord Davies Report on Women on Boards (the ‘Report’). Mondi will endeavour to maintain gender representation in line with the recommendations of the Report. Mondi will always focus on recruiting to ensure the right balance of skills and experience is retained on its Board.
Mondi recognises the need to attract and retain female employees and ensure they have equal opportunities to enter senior roles within the Group. Mondi acknowledges the importance of and supports the initiatives set out in the Report and anticipates that its cooperation with numerous universities, targeted bursary schemes and newly launched cultural change programme will promote gender diversity, leading to a better pipeline of appropriate female senior executives. Mondi does however recognise that, given the nature of its industry, change will take time and continued commitment.
