Offering a unique surface structure, the hot foil stamping enables to reach high product differentiation on the shelf. Lettering and logos as well as picture elements or entire images can effectively be highlighted. Mat or shiny effects as well as a variety of metallic colours, different structures or even holographic patterns can be embossed.

The hot foil stamping is applicable for all plastic laminated films and also for paper-plastic laminates.
Three different processing options are possible:
- blind
- flat
- relief stamping
With the blind stamping a selected area on the laminated film will be lifted by a die (embossed form) and a male (back-pressure form) and thus permanently deformed. Thus, parts of a printed image with a structure can be provided, such as the fur of an animal.
The improvement via flat stamping is achieved with the aid of an additional stamping foil, which will be attached on the defined areas of the surface of the packaging film. The relief or high stamping additionally uses special forms that bring the stamped part one level higher. With this treatment the highest embossment can be generated.
