Freshwater scarcity is an accelerating problem for 1-2 billion people worldwide.

Mondi, as the principal sponsor of the Mondi Wetlands Programme (MWP), supports wetland protection and rehabilitation to secure fresh water supply and biodiversity. Moreover we constantly strive to lower our emissions into water throughout all of our operations.

• Mondi reduced its emissions to water by 35% (COD - chemical oxygen demand by 35% against a 2005 baseline)
• Mondi and WWF support the rehabilitation of wetlands in South Africa
• Mondi reduced its waste to landfill by 40% (against a 2005 baseline – non hazardous waste to landfill)

TCF

Bleaching paper with chlorine impurifies the waste water and allows pollutants to enter the food chain. That is why all our papers are ECF products as a minimum, meaning they are bleached without elementary chlorine (AOX value* 0.03 - 0.8 kg/t).

IQ TRIOTEC^® unique, MAESTRO^® TRIOTEC^® TCF and BIO TOP 3^® are our TCF (totally chlorine free) products, bleached without the use of any chlorine at all (AOX value* 0.0 kg/t). Instead they are bleached using oxygen and hydrogen peroxide.

The result: perfect office paper that meets all your needs and those of the environment, too.

* AOX: the sum of all absorbable organic halogens (chlorine, bromine and iodine compounds) in waste water.
ECF: Elementary chlorine free
TCF: Totally chlorine free
