UN Global Compact 'COP'

As a signatory of the UN Global Compact, Mondi is committed to improving its sustainable development performance by ensuring that the UN Global Compact’s ten principles are embedded in what we do for the environment, the communities in which we work and society at large, thereby securing continued access to resource materials in a resource-constrained world and maintaining our license to operate within our host communities.

The following report is Mondi’s first ‘Communication on Progress’ (COP), which provides a summary of Mondi’s activities in relation to and progress in implementing the UN Global Compact’s Ten Principles. Mondi has not only met the basic requirements for a COP, but it has also met the minimum requirements for a ‘Global Compact Advanced Criteria’ level of reporting, which aims to create a higher standard for corporate sustainability performance and disclosure. Companies who qualify for this level of reporting demonstrate that they have adopted and report on a wide range of sustainability governance and management processes.
