How Mondi delivered 10% cost savings for Argesim Technology through tailor-made packaging redesign

To develop a product-specific corrugated packaging solution capable of improving product protection, streamlining logistics and reducing operational costs, Argesim Technology partnered with Mondi. The result? An impressive 10% cost savings across Argesim Technology’s logistics and production processes. 

The R&D-driven company develops sensor solutions for solar energy systems and grain storage facilities, serving customers in Türkiye and international markets. Previously, they used standard ABOX boxes and foam-filled solutions that provided basic protection but increased operational costs and raised sustainability concerns. 

From standard packaging to product-specific solutions 

As part of the collaboration that began in 2023, Mondi developed tailor-made corrugated packaging solutions for Argesim Technology’s sensor products, designed and produced at Mondi Çorum, our corrugated solutions plant in Türkiye. 

The aim of the project was to create a new packaging concept that would provide maximum protection during the transport and storage of sensors while also improving operational efficiency.

To achieve this, Mondi redesigned box dimensions, strength and ergonomics and fully optimised the overall packaging structure. Standard boxes and foam-filled packaging were replaced with high-strength corrugated solutions specifically designed for the product. 

This transformation enabled: 

• Elimination of shipment-related production damage through improved product protection 

• Reduction of operational risks and time losses across the supply chain, enabling smoother shipping and handling 

• Complete removal of foam materials, meeting growing international demand for sustainable packaging 

• Seamless integration of the new packaging solution into existing production and logistics processes without requiring additional investment 

• Improved customer feedback, and enhanced overall brand perception through product-specific packaging 

As a result, Argesim Technology achieved 10% cost savings in its logistics and production operations.
