Benefits Specialist

Your responsibilities:

  • assisting in the administration of employee benefit programs, including health and welfare plans and 401(k):
    • managing invoice reconciliation and coordination of timely payment with finance team
    • tracking ER and EE costs across all group benefits plans
    • performing analyses and providing forecasts based on current costs and trends
    • reviewing, reconciling and processing vendor payments and implementing billing audit process
    • responsible for 401(k) and nonqualified plan funding process each pay period
    • partnering with local HR to answer employee questions regarding benefit coverage and billing issues
  • leave of absence administration and collaboration with the field HR Managers:
    • oversight of leave system HR administrative access
    • building strong relationship with vendor contacts to proactively manage the leave process
    • identification and implementation of process improvement opportunities
  • providing general benefits support during open enrollment; involved in development of the open enrollment communication materials and delivery of materials
  • building and maintaining strong working relationships with site HR and benefit plan vendors to ensure operational efficiencies, timely processes and quick resolution on escalated issues
  • assisting with the analysis of current benefit programs, research best practices, and identifying areas for improvement
  • maintaining and updating benefits information on company intranet and within the benefits enrollment system
  • involved with the implementation of new and/or maintenance of existing benefit programs
  • assisting with annual 401k Audit and Form 5500 filing; responsible for annual testing Develop processes to ensure accuracy of employee benefit transactions in various systems
  • supporting process improvements and documentation across benefits platform
  • performing other duties as assigned

Our requirements:

  • proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Visio, Statistical Software, SAP
  • statistical analysis knowledge

Languages:

Fluent in English

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in Benefits Administration and leave administration (FMLA, STD)
  • previous experience in manufacturing industry
  • previous experience with benefit analytics and data management
