Category Manager Indirect Spend (f/m)

Your responsibilities:

As a Category Manager Indirect Spend, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • managing non direct material sub-categories such as Consulting, Travel, Fleet, Facility Management, etc. in a matrix organisation
  • developing, communicating and executing sourcing strategies with stakeholder with TCO (total cost of ownership) approach
  • identifying potential sources of supply and managing new supplier qualification process
  • negotiation of contracts with global and local suppliers
  • serving as a primary contact and relationship manager for key suppliers
  • monitoring compliance with established contracts and/or agreements
  • implementation of state of the art procurement processes and tools
  • support of internal auditing and performance improvement programs

Our requirements:

  • proficiency with MS Office
  • excellent negotiation skills

Languages:

Fluent Business English, any other languages advantageous

Education:

Completed economic studies, e.g. business administration, or purchasing diploma or equivalent experience in a similar function

Experience:

Minimum 7 years’ work experience in a professional procurement organization, ideally gained in an international environment

Other:

  • very good organizational and project management skills
  • distinctive interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with key members of both internal and external partners
