Head of Procurement Excellence (f/m)

Your responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the CPO of Mondi Group, the responsibility of the Head of Procurement Excellence is to drive continuous improvement of all procurement related processes. This includes streamlining and harmonization of processes as well as the implementation of state of the art digital tools across all business segments and plants/mills. He / she ensures that the needs of stakeholders in terms of procurement processes, tools (SAP environment), innovation and risk mitigation are met and acts as a competence centre for the local procurement teams.

Key duties will include:

  • ensure streamlined and harmonized procurement processes (request to pay, source to contract) across all business segments and plants/mills
  • definition and realization of the digital procurement roadmap
  • drive procurement related process optimization projects (e.g.: “health checks” and process reviews) in collaboration with the business unit procurement manager
  • drive procurement related integration of new mills/plants, SAP roll outs and continuous improvement
  • ensure interface and alignment to other business processes (finance, operations, logistics, ..)
  • special procurement projects
  • ensure availability of relevant resources in collaboration with main stakeholder
  • ensure Key User Management and training of user

Our requirements:

Fluency in English (spoken and written), any additional language is beneficial


Bachelor's degree in technical or business administration field


Min 5 years consulting and/or project management experiences in a similar position


  • excellent listening skills (grasp stakeholder needs)
  • advanced presentation skills (gain buy-in on all levels)
  • conceptual thinking (cross functional E2E understanding of processes)
  • dealing with complex projects (numerous stakeholder)
