Senior Project Manager Converting (f/m)

Production / Operations, Group function, Austria

Your Responsibilities: 

  • developing and leading small to mid-size projects across all our Business Units, directly reporting to the respective project owner within the Business Unit and location, order to:
    • optimization of paper machine production
    • identifying potentials and developing projects from idea to business case
  • preparing technical and technological concept of rebuild and new equipment
  • expert optimization of processes and dedicated equipment
  • technical and technological comparison of concepts and specifications
  • negotiation with suppliers together with commercial CAPEX team
  • supporting operations during the start-up of the projects

Our Requirements:

  • strong project management skills, especially of international set-ups
  • thorough understanding of process and paper technology, manufacturing, conversion and paper properties are essential

Languages: 

  • excellent command of English and German
  • Russian, Turkish or Hungarian advantageous

Education: 

  • university degree in a technical discipline, as well as in business management
  • international certifications regarding quality management essential, i.e. six sigma green belt, EFQM etc.
  • successful completion of PMI/PMA certifications advantageous
  • training and/or experience with stage-gate process

Experience: 

  • minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in leading international projects within a manufacturing company
  • experience within process industry and discrete parts manufacturing essential

Other: 

  • ability to handle up to max. four projects in parallel
  • availability for regular international business trips up to 80%
  • strong team-oriented working manner
  • ability to navigate and deliver results in a matrix organisation and act as a liaison between corporate functions, regions and plants
  • ability to communicate on all levels of hierarchy, from shop floor employees to top management as well as high diplomatic abilities
  • out-of-the-box thinking and strategical mindset to bring knowledge and people together across all Mondi functions
