Corrugated cardboard packaging that can have a second use creates an emotional buying experience

Vienna, June 2017 - Mondi Lebedyan, the Russian manufacturing facility of Mondi Corrugated Packaging, one of the leading suppliers of corrugated board packaging in Central and Eastern Europe, presented retail packaging at this year's RosUpack that has an attractive secondary function. The packaging provides the end customer, after serving its original purpose, with an entertaining or useful further use. This creates an additional purchase incentive, strengthening brand loyalty sustainably.

The American Case packaging from Mondi serves primarily as packaging for consumer products with a fast and slow turn-over, such as children's nappies, cat food, soft drinks or snacks. But the packaging is not made to be thrown away: Thanks to its innovative design and perforations, in the blink of an eye you can create a doll's house, a Punch and Judy show, a mini circus, a mini football table, or even a cat's house - without additional gluing. The appeal is enhanced with an appropriate design and bright printing. This gives the packaging a "second life". No limits are set on the imagination.

An example from Poland shows that this type of packaging is highly attractive for consumers: Within a short time, children's nappies from a discounter were able to overtake the market-leading brand.
