Machine Glazed paper

The yankee cylinder on which MG grades are dried has a hot, glazed surface that creates an exceptionally high gloss on one side of the paper. The result is a superb combination of runnability, opacity and printability. Excellent fibre formation assures high strength in both the machine and the cross direction. These versatile papers are used for bags, extrusion coating and lamination applications, flexible packaging and protective packaging.

Advantage MG Gumming is a machine glazed speciality kraft paper, distinguished by its especially high strength and excellent surface properties of the glazed side. A very good dimensional stability, high stiffness and excellent runnability are features of this paper quality. It is produced fully sized with the surface quality velin.

    All our speciality kraft papers are developed and made with efficient converting in mind. Even paper profiles ensure stable productivity on modern high-speed converting lines.

    Primary fibres from slow growing pine and spruce give our papers the best possible strength properties. As you would expect, we can also meet the most stringent wet strength requirements.
  • Printability
    The smooth MG side of the paper is the result of specific surface treatment on the yankee cylinder. This production process provides a perfect surface for fine print.
  • Gloss
    Our MG grades are dried on a yankee cylinder with a hot glazed surface in order to achieve an exceptionally high gloss.
  • Smoothness
    A soft calender in the paper machine gives our paper grades the smooth surface needed for optimal print quality.
  • Silicone hold-out
    An excellent paper surface is absolutely essential for effective siliconisation. The smooth surface, high density and low moisture level of our release base grades allow minimum silicone use while retaining perfect release properties.
  • Cleanliness
    We source our raw materials from certified suppliers. Extremely strict production monitoring includes hygiene control and in-line hole and spot detection. We only use the purest raw materials with a low bio-burden level.
