Our winning combination

ProVantage Smartwhite is the sustainable white alternative to fully virgin liners. The innovative product concept combines the excellent quality features of a premium white top kraftliner with the cost and sustainability benefits of a recycled solution. The white virgin fibre top layer meets the most demanding printing requirements. The recycled fibre bottom layer allows for an attractive price. Both together provide excellent strength and reliable product protection.

Our Kraft Top White grade is based on an innovative two-ply product concept:

  • Unique product composition: top layer, white hardwood pulp; bottom layer, recycled fibre
  • High strength allows further packaging weight reductions
  • Economic advantages of a recycled fibre bottom layer
  • Printability and appearance benefits of a white top kraftliner
  • For all applications that don’t require 100% virgin fibre

  • High brightness and low roughness to meet increasingly demanding printing requirements
  • Good runability in converting due to excellent cross and machine direction profiles
  • Top-class strength for reliable product protection
  • A wide substance range from 115–175 gsm
  • An extensive choice from a full-range containerboard portfolio – all from one supplier
  • Availability with FSC® or PEFCTM certification
  • In line with Mondi’s Sustainable Product criteria

  • Shelf-ready packaging
  • POS displays
  • Trays
  • Consumer durables
  • eCommerce
  • Customised packaging

Innovation powered by cutting-edge technology

Mondi’s new Kraft Top White offering is enabled by PM19 (paper machine 19), a brand-new paper machine featuring the latest technology. This new machine at our Ružomberok site in Slovakia will open new processing capacities for recycled paper, mainly of local origin. The central location of the production facility guarantees short lead times to our clients all over Europe. The investment in the new paper machine is only one aspect of an extensive modernisation programme at our mill. It also includes the establishment of an automatic warehouse storage area for end products, a recycled paper line and recycled storage area, as well as an effluent treatment plant.
