Purposeful, diverse and inclusive workplaces will unlock the creative innovation we need to make a difference

Enhancing gender diversity in a male dominated sector and upskilling colleagues for long-term employability is critical for building the teams in which business, product and environmental innovation thrive.

Every four out of ten new hires between now and 2030 must be women

Our target of ensuring that 30% of employees are women by 2030 may seem straightforward, but it is an ambitious goal that must overcome the traditional demographics of the forestry and packaging industries, along with the manufacturing sector as a whole. Mondi is taking on the challenge.

To achieve it, we are continuing to enhance Mondi’s proposition to female talent across the regions in which we operate. This means:
  • sharpening our recruitment practices, from reviewing the language used in job adverts to building diverse succession pipelines
  • developing female mentoring and development programmes
  • enhancing our family-friendly workplaces through guidance, training, childcare and flexible working programmes for parents
  • running conscious-inclusion training for our colleagues

Going forward, our Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) function will continue to broaden our D&I community by raising awareness and fostering personal development among all managers and employees.

What else is Mondi doing to empower our people?

To fulfil Mondi’s purpose of contributing to a better world through packaging and paper solutions that are sustainable by design, we must keep our colleagues safe, well and engaged. We are focused on:

  • Building skills that support long-term employability
  • Providing purposeful employment in diverse and inclusive workplace
  • Enabling a positive work-life experience, valuing safety, health and mental wellbeing
