Mondi Richards Bay

Our Richards Bay mill commissioned in 1984 produces two key products: Baycel, a premier grade bleached hardwood pulp made from 100-percent eucalyptus fibre, and Baywhite, a white top kraft linerboard.

Both Baycel pulp and Baywhite linerboard are FSC™ Chain of Custody certified (SGS-CoC-000359; License number FSC-C017573), giving to customers the confidence of using products that are produced using wood from certified responsibly managed forests.

The modernisation and capital investments made at the mill have not only reduced environmental impacts, ranging from air quality to water consumption through to solid waste reduction but also enabled us to expanded our product offering to our customers.
