Your mission:

  • Implement inventory improvement processes and systems to reduce inventory levels, minimize warehousing costs, and maximize working capital.
  • Coordinate raw material deliveries to ensure continuous supply to the mill.
  • Process and manage all inventory transactions and stock movements on SAP.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of inventory records within SAP.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct stock counts at both internal and external warehouse locations.
  • Investigate stock variances and ensure timely corrective action and resolution.
  • Generate inventory management reports, identify discrepancies, and drive corrective measures.
  • Create work orders and monitor usage against budget allocations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures and processes.
  • Manage document control, filing systems, and inventory-related records.
  • Prepare inventory documentation and systems for internal and external audits.
  • Provide inventory-related input into departmental planning processes.
  • Forecast stock requirements based on consumption trends and model stock levels.
  • Drive effective cost control measures and minimize stock write-offs through sound inventory management principles.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.
  • Participate in standby duties as required.

Your profile:

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Warehousing, Inventory Management, or Supply Chain Management (NQF Level 6).
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in operational inventory control within the paper manufacturing industry.
  • Working experience with SAP or a similar ERP system.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • A valid South African driver's license.
  • Forklift operating and Overhead crane driving experience would be advantageous.
