Your Mission:
- Ensure all staff follow site safety rules, PPE requirements, and safe working procedures.
- Engage in daily safety conversations with operators to reinforce safe behaviors, and identify potential hazards.
- Ensure LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) is in force at all times and that permits are being completed when required.
- Stop unsafe work immediately and correct it.
- Supporting the Health & Safety Manager, assist in the reporting and investigations, near misses, hazards, and incidents.
- Ensure machines run to the planned schedule meeting daily production targets (output, waste, efficiency, downtime).
- Monitor production KPIs throughout the shift and take action when performance drops
- Ensure make readys, changeovers, and quality checks are completed correctly and on time.
- Develop the team and introduced standardised working practices.
- Make sure all operators update their performance boards every day and that the information is accurate and complete.
- Confirm operators complete all required quality checks (board grade, print, glue, dimensions, palletisation).
- Ensure non-conforming product is quarantined and reported.
- Work with Quality Department to address issues quickly and prevent recurrence.
- Allocate staff to machines based on skill and production needs.
- Manage breaks, absences, and shift cover.
- Coach operators and assistants to improve skills, efficiency, and teamwork.
- Address performance or behaviour issues promptly and fairly.
- Ensure all training records (operator skills, machine training, safety training) are accurate and up to date.
- Ensure manning levels are always current and displayed on the board at least one week in advance.
- Provide clear and structured handovers to the next shift.
- Ensure employees are sticking to the allocated times for proper handovers.
- Report key issues to Production/Operations management.
- Keep the team informed about priorities, changes, and expectations.
- Ensure operators understand the importance of updating their performance boards and follow up daily to ensure it is done.
- Ensure operators complete basic daily maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, checks).
- Report breakdowns immediately and coordinate with maintenance.
- Ensure machines are operated safely and within correct parameters.
- Complete all shift paperwork accurately (production reports, downtime logs, quality sheets).
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, ISO standards, and customer requirements.
- Support internal and external audits when required.
- Maintain strong 5S standards across the shop floor.

- Accurate & efficient control of components including filing and good housekeeping.
