Our product
Ad/Vantage EcoComp is made from high-quality, responsibly sourced Nordic fibres.

Ad/Vantage EcoComp
An unbleached, water-repellent paper with high strength properties. It has been developed specifically to produce bags used for wet organic waste from both household and commercial kitchens.
Made with 100% virgin kraft paper from Nordic softwood fibres, it contains no plastic or coating.

No tears, no leaks, no double bagging
Benefits:
- Reduction in unpleasant odours
- Lower weight, which is good for transportation
- Decrease in the risk of the waste freezing to the bin.
Thanks to its water repellent properties, it prevents:
- Water and/or acid leaks from kitchen scraps
- Minimises odours
When used in a ventilated bin, a paper bag helps keep the environment cleaner and fresher by absorbing moisture and allowing it to evaporate through ventilation.
Sustainability & Compostability
Is Ad/Vantage EcoComp home compostable?
Yes, Ad/Vantage EcoComp is Industrial and Home Compostable under DIN EN 13432.
Why is Ad/Vantage EcoComp not made from recycled paper?
Recycled fibres often lack the strength and durability needed to withstand the moisture and acidity of kitchen waste. Using fresh fibres allows the bag to handle water and acids while maintaining its structural integrity, helping prevent leaks and breakage during collection and transport.
Does Ad/Vantage EcoComp contain added plastic? Is it coated or laminated?
No - no coating, no lamination, or added plastic, only 100% kraft paper.
What are the benefits of paper bags for organic waste collection?
Collecting bio-waste in paper bags offers advantages over other alternatives.
For composting: unlike bioplastic bags, paper bags are fully degradable and leave no harmful residues, ensuring high-quality compost.
For biogas production: organic waste collected in paper bags can produce up to 14 times more biomethane compared to bioplastic bags, making it the optimal choice for renewable energy
However, to be effective, these paper bags must be resistant to moisture and acidity to reliably hold organic waste.
Strength & Applications
Can Ad/Vantage EcoComp resist acidic food waste like citrus peel?
Yes, Ad/Vantage EcoComp is engineered to withstand both moisture and acidity, making it suitable for a wide range of organic waste types such as citrus peels and coffee grounds.
Is it possible to produce larger bags using Ad/Vantage EcoComp?
Yes, thanks to the strength and stretch properties of the Ad/Vantage EcoComp, making larger bags for collecting bio waste is possible.
However, for optimum handling and durability of larger bags, there is the option of Ad/Vantage EcoComp E with an even higher stretchability.
How does high stiffness benefit the end user?
The high stiffness of Ad/Vantage EcoComp makes it easier to fill the bag while it is placed in the open bag holder, as the bag stands upright without collapsing. This also minimizes contact with the bag holder, allowing the paper walls to breathe, which helps reduce moisture buildup and unpleasant odours.
Is an open bag holder necessary?
Yes. A bag made of Ad/Vantage EcoComp is not supposed to be filled in a closed tight space or on a flat surface. A ventilated bag holder with ridges on the bottom is therefore necessary to keep the air circulating around and beneath the bag, which helps reducing the odours and keeps the bag dry.
How often should the bag be replaced?
Optimally, every 3 days even if the bag is not full.
Is Ad/Vantage EcoComp food contact safe?
Yes, Ad/Vantage EcoComp is food contact approved (dry, moist and fatty). In fact, it is an optimal base paper for fruit and vegetable bags.
