The Mondi Management System (MMS) is our embedded way of working to achieve breakthrough results by driving operational excellence through zero-loss focus, strong people engagement, and continuous capability building.
The MMS Global Education & Training Programme Manager owns and drives the organizational capability building to eliminate losses due to lack of skills within the MMS Pillar Framework.
Following the initial launch of the pillar by external consultants, this role ensures clear ownership, consistency, and practical application of MMS education and training across Mondi’s plants and mills. The role works closely with site Education & Training leads and operations teams to build sustainable internal capability as MMS is rolled out to additional sites.
This is a hands‑on, delivery‑focused role, critical to embedding MMS processes and methodologies into day‑to‑day operations. This role will ultimately become 10% of the Learning Leader´s role once standards have been embedded.
Responsibilities:
Global ownership & standards
- Own the global MMS Education & Learning pillar, including standards, tools, training content, and qualification criteria
- Ability to map existing training programs to take best practices and embed them in Education & Training Pillar
- Ability to work with senior and mid-senior stakeholders within organizations (mills) to ensure that Education & Training Pillar provides right support and contribution to business and overall MMS ecosystem
- Own and continuously improve the Education & Training standard work processes (SWPs), ensuring they are clearly defined, documented, and applied consistently across MMS sites
- Ensure consistency of education and training approaches across regions while enabling practical local adaptation through site Education & Training Pillar leads
- Maintain and continuously improve global training materials, learning pathways, and one‑point lessons
- Act as the single point of accountability for Education & Training within MMS governance
Capability building & training delivery
- Design and deliver hands‑on MMS/IWS education and training, aligned to MMS phases and site maturity
- Coach and support regional and site Education & Training leads, building internal trainer capability
- Support plants and mills during MMS phase progression, readiness reviews, and assessments including action planning to close gaps
- Ensure training is practical, relevant, and usable on the shop floor, avoiding unnecessary complexity
- Own and support the qualification and Step‑Up Card process for Education & Training roles, ensuring capability is built, assessed, and sustained
Integration & roll‑out
- Work closely with other MMS/IWS pillar owners to ensure education content is aligned and integrated
- Support the onboarding of new plants and mills into MMS from an education and training perspective
- Take full ownership of the Education & Training Pillar activation playbook following handover, ensuring it remains practical, relevant, and fit for scale
- Build and maintain a global Education & Training network to share best practice and lessons learned
- Establish and run Education & Training Pillar governance and PDCA routines, tracking progress, priorities, and capability gaps as MMS scales.
Continuous improvement
- Identify gaps, overlaps, and inefficiencies in existing training approaches and simplify where possible
- Gather site feedback and translate it into improved standards, tools, and learning materials
- Ensure Education & Training evolves in line with MMS maturity and business priorities
Our requirements:
Experience
- Proven track record of designing, implementing and continuously improving Education & Training frameworks and work processes with an Integrated Working System (IWS) or comparable integrated manufacturing
- Ability to build system that assesses skills and prioritizes them to meet tangible business needs
- Strong background in manufacturing, operations excellence, or continuous improvement environments
- Hands‑on experience designing and delivering training and capability‑building programmes in operational settings
- Experience working across multiple plants or sites in an international environment
Skills & capabilities
- Strong facilitation and coaching skills; credible with shop‑floor teams and senior leaders
- Process oriented mindset with ability to design, pilot, and implement Education & Training processes across entire Organization
- Structured, organised, and delivery‑focused with a strong ownership mindset
- Comfortable working in evolving environments and building new ways of working
- Collaborative, pragmatic, and solution‑oriented
Personal attributes
- Hands‑on and practical; comfortable spending time in plants and mills
- Influences through expertise and trust rather than hierarchy
- High level of autonomy, accountability, and resilience
- Strong belief in people development as a driver of operational performance

Education:
- Degree in Psychology, HR, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
