We are looking for Product Innovation Expert to our location in Germany

The Product Innovation Expert (f/m/x) will play a pivotal role in driving innovation by developing new packaging solutions, enhancing the product portfolio, and embedding sustainability into all product development activities. A strong focus will be placed on advancing research into new materials, technologies, and applications, while also identifying opportunities for process automation to improve efficiency and scalability. This role combines market insight with cross-functional collaboration to deliver customer-focused, future-ready solutions that strengthen competitiveness, support business growth, and position the company as a leader in sustainable corrugated packaging.

Your mission:

New Product Development:

  • Develop new products aligned with market needs and business objectives.
  • Anticipate packaging trends, integrating new materials, design concepts, and sustainable practices.

Product Portfolio Management:

  • Review and assess the portfolio to identify improvement and differentiation opportunities.
  • Use customer feedback, industry trends, and competitor insights to guide development and innovation.
  • Support marketing and sales with product launches and go-to-market strategies.

Sustainability Focus:

  • Drive innovation with focus on reducing carbon footprint through sustainable packaging.
  • Stay current with standards and regulations on sustainable materials and practices.

 Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with manufacturing to ensure feasibility, scalability, and cost alignment.
  • Collaborate with sustainability experts to meet current and future requirements.
  • Embed sustainability in product development and promote it as a value proposition in business development.

Training & Development:

  • Train sales teams on new products and market trends.
  • Support regional sales in applying innovation and business strategies for stronger customer engagement.

External Partners:

  • Foster partnerships with universities and packaging associations on new developments.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Packaging Science, or a related field (master’s preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in business development or product innovation in the corrugated packaging industry or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing new business and launching innovative products.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and eco-friendly packaging solutions is a plus.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze markets and create long-term business strategies
  • Business Acumen: Deep understanding of sales, pricing strategies, and cost structures in the corrugated packaging industry.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Being fluent in German, English is beneficial
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and alignment with regional goals.
  • Willingness to travel within the region.
