Your mission:
- In this role you work as a Regional IT Manager Italy & Spain ( approximately 40% of your work time) but also take over the lead as IT specialist ( approximately 60% of your work time) for Italy working hands on networking, infrastructure and end-user operations;
- You lead a team of nine experienced IT and OT professionals;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business and IT leaders, fostering a cohesive and collaborative regional IT community;
- Ensure alignment of Regional IT activities with Mondi’s global IT strategy, standards, and governance framework;
- Build and maintain a strong team of IT specialists and OT specialists throughout Italy and Spain;
- Actively lead and oversee key Regional IT projects and initiatives across Italy and Spain, ensuring timely and effective delivery;
- Develop the Regional IT organization and capabilities to meet current and future business needs;
- Lead Regional IT operations to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient service and infrastructure performance. Managing external IT provider including negotiations, contracting and license management;
- Drive compliance with cybersecurity, audit, and policy requirements; proactively manage risks and vulnerabilities;
- Manage and optimize the Regional IT budget, ensuring cost efficiency and value creation;
- Promote knowledge sharing, professional growth, and a culture of accountability across IT teams Italy & Spain;
- As an IT specialist you actively work on IT implementation projects, IT processes and procedures and together with the Regional IT team ensure daily operations in the areas of datacenter, infrastructure, network and user support;
- The candidate is expected to work hands on and actively contribute to the Regional IT delivery.
Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent qualification;
- At least 10 years of professional experience in IT, ideally within a manufacturing setting;
- Team leadership experience is a plus;
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem, including M365 and Entra AD;
- Strong networking skills, with hands-on experience in configuring Cisco and Aruba network equipment, as well as Palo Alto and Fortigate firewalls;
- Experience in IT Security, Security Operations, and Compliance (including GDPR and NIS2) is an advantage;
- Solid understanding of IT project management;
- Basic knowledge of Operational Technology (OT) in manufacturing environments;
- Proficient in virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V; experienced in server management, primarily in Windows environments;
- Excellent command of written and spoken Business English;
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus;
- Willingness to travel between regional offices (Italy and Spain), with occasional trips to Austria.
