Your Mission:
- Shipping the monthly forecasted volume for export in accordance with contracts/conditions of affreightment within agreed timeframe/costs as per customer requirements.
- Coordinating, administering and updating shipping documentation and systems
- Planning of empty and full containers including management of depots and transporters.
- Ensures process controls and container management.
- Ensuring detailed Root Cause Analysis done for Demurrage and Detention charges and report on same.
- Ensure shipping queries (PO’s and Charges) are attended too timeously and resolved within month of query.
- Updating systems and procedures in-line with policy and statutory requirements
- Supplying shipping input into departmental plans
- Issuing regular reports for management
- Actively seek continuous improvement initiatives for shipping
- Build effective partnerships with shipping lines and logistics partners.
Your profile:
- 3 – 5 years of experience in a Shipping / Exports role within a manufacturing environment
- Experience working in the Pulp and Pap industry would be advantageous
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management / Logistics, or currently studying towards one
- Experience preparing and managing export documentation
- Experience working with shipping documentation systems (e.g., Shipping lines systems, NAVIS)
- Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems
- Valid South African Driver’s License
