Your mission:

This position is a key member of the safety & health team, and closely resembles the duties of an administrative coordinator with the additional responsibility of helping to write training programs while working with various subject matter experts. The coordinator provides technical and administrative assistance to department staff, and is also responsible for some projcet coordination, system maintenance and management, and technical writing.

  • Coordinating Information: from various departments and maintaining a control center for policies and procedures regarding correspondence, memos, and the handling of data.
  • Technical Writing: Working with our subject matter experts to assist in the technical writing of our operations training programs and manuals.
  • Working with automation software: Can be designated to train office personnel in the department's software applications that are critical to communications functions (email, memos, incident reporting, spreadsheet, and database applications).

A Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or management is preferred, however relevant work experience in technical writing of training materials or health and safety departments will be considered.

  • Incident Reporting System: Manage a robust incident reporting system. Help train employees to report near misses, hazards, and incidents promptly using our reporting system. Use this data to drive safety improvements.
  • Data Entry: Proficiency in accurate data entry is essential for maintaining system integrity.
  • Management Systems: Familiarity with managing various systems and databases, including the Microsoft suite of products and Power BI would be an asset.
  • Troublehsooting: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues and providing assistance to users with technical problems.
  • Logistics: Managing resources efficiently.
  • Creating Training Materials: Working with subject matter experts developing user guides and training resources.
  • Collaboration: Excellent customer service, patient interaction, and scheduling abilities.
  • Communication: Market training opportunities to employees, emphasize benefits, inform employees about scheduled training sessions and track their progress.

  • Extent: full-time (5 days per week, 8 hours per day with weekends off)
